Astronomy Tidbits

If you happen to be awake after 6.15 AM during the next few days, do look out to the East! You should see two bright “stars” low on the horizon and extremely close to each other, especially on the morning of the 18th. These “stars” are actually Venus and Jupiter, and rarely do they ever approach this close to each other in the sky.

There’s only a brief window of time each day before they’re enveloped by the dawn however, so try your best! For best results, stake out a location that has an unobstructed view of the Eastern horizon.
